Tyler Christian

Undergraduate Researcher

Tyler is a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a major in Biology with minors in Environmental Science and Marine Science. She is currently working on analyzing data from an experiment she conducted to study the effects of winter ocean warming on temperate corals off the coast of North Carolina and to explore how heterotrophy faciliates coral resilience under climate change. She also assists Dr. Castillo in the Aquarium Research Center maintaining live coral specimens of Siderastrea siderea and Oculina arbuscula.
